Behind the Beverage: The L’Or Bleu on the Ritz Paris

The Ritz Paris lodge drew vacation inspiration from Surrealism, which this 12 months celebrates its centenary. As a result of an audacious motion deserves an audacious creation, the Ritz Bar presents L’Or Bleu, an unique cocktail composed by head barman Romain de Courcy.

Impressed by the well-known poem by Surrealist pioneer Paul Éluard, this cocktail evokes the fascinating paradox of the senses and of colour. Utilizing the creator’s well-known line “the Earth is blue like an orange,” L’Or Bleu performs subtly with flavors and extends an unique, whimsical invitation to dream.

This new creation elevates lavender, which is also referred to as “blue gold from Provence” and is prized for its energy to assuage. Paired with vodka, rosemary and notes of bergamot, this contemporary and fragrant composition reveals a steadiness that’s nice with sudden overtones.
