Dr Brad Smith was named the 2024 American Homebrewers Affiliation (AHA) Governing Committee Recognition Award winner on the Nationwide Homebrew Competitors Awards ceremony on 10 October 2024 in Denver. The award was introduced by AHA Govt Director Julia Herz, who known as it the “Highest Award in Homebrewing”.
First issued in 1998, the award is chosen by the American Homebrewer’s Governing Committee annually to acknowledge a lifetime of excellent service to the neighborhood of homebrewers. Brad stated “I’m deeply humbled and honored to obtain this award. I by no means imagined the little Stout package I first brewed in 1987 would result in this. I wish to thank the Governing Committee, AHA and the entire homebrewers on the market to your continued assist!”
