Whisky manufacturing has commenced at Guqi Distillery in Bozhou, China as a part of a three way partnership with French cognac producer Camus and Chinese language baijiu maker Gujinggong.
The distillery will concentrate on two product traces; premium single malt whiskies and natural whiskies infused with conventional Chinese language herbs.
In response to the businesses, the distillery will mix historic baijiu fermentation processes, French mixing strategies and Scottish oak maturation.
“At Guqi, we imagine that greatness comes from drawing inspiration throughout time and cultures. By the mixture of historic Chinese language knowledge and trendy Western strategies, we’re reimagining what is feasible in whisky,” stated Ryan Camus, basic supervisor of Guqi Distillery.
