What they are saying
The GlenDronach Distillery, hidden within the fertile panorama of the Valley of Forgue, deep within the east Highland hills, has honoured centuries of craft in its newest Single Malt launch. The GlenDronach Cask Power Batch 12
boasts distinctive depths of sherry cask maturation, carrying forth the legacy of distillery founder James Allardice since 1826, marrying Highland spirit to Spanish oak.
This twelfth batch of The GlenDronach Cask Power is a richly sherried Highland Single Malt, matured slowly in superb Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía in Spain. Grasp Blender, Rachel Barrie, intricately composes every batch for the deepest color; the richest, most full-bodied complexity; and a permanent, elegant end. This uncommon dedication, based on virtually two centuries of information, is embodied in each expression of The GlenDronach.
Rachel commented: “The GlenDronach Cask Power presents connoisseurs a deep perception into the distillery’s signature character, by bottling on the whisky’s pure cask energy, as was the customized earlier than the flip of the twentieth Century. “Add a drop or two of water to open up the liquid and reveal a cornucopia of flavours; from wealthy mocha to raisin-filled fruit-cake and indulgent crème brûlée. Such is the reward of our twelfth batch of The GlenDronach Cask Power, a richly sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in superb Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.”
As with all expressions of The GlenDronach, all the pure color is drawn from gradual maturation in Spanish oak casks.
