Distilled on twenty eighth October 1998 and crammed into American Oak casks then completed in first fill Manzanilla sherry casks on 25 th Might 2016. The result’s a warmly welcoming dram, with notes of salt & spice, becoming for the perfect of celebrations.As Islay’s most northern distillery, Bunnahabhain are identified for his or her unpeated, classically sherried single malts. Tasting notes:
Nostril: Notes of freshly baked pastry with candy almonds, rose petals, grapefruit and dried spices are balanced with a contact of mahogany and incense.
Palate: Coastal affect of seaweed and recent sea air are met with raisins and dates and intertwined with creamy fudge, waxed crimson apples and a heat candy spice harking back to star anise.
End: Spicy and fragrant with caramelised walnuts; the star anise fades to disclose lemon peel and pears with a lingering be aware of sea salt.
