Wine Fanatic ~ Though the assorted whiskies on this mix had been distilled in Scotland, it was then moved to France’s Burgundy area to age—so it’s not technically Scotch. The whiskies within the mix are over 12 years previous and aged in ex-Sherry casks. The tip result’s a nut-brown hue and wealthy dried date and caramel scent. The large, rounded palate surprises with smoke, underpinned with hints of Sherry, dried fig, and caramel, with an extended baking spice end. (KN)
